What To Know Before Beginning:
 
Over the past 6 years of working as a graphic designer, we have done projects for people who have used a graphics company in the past, and those who have not.
Whatever your experience is, we have listed some points below that will help you understand our end of things, and what goes on when working with a graphic designer.
 
What We Are:
 
We are your partners! It is our goal to work alongside of you and make the design work for your church and ministry. Doing this, we will have to ask you a lot of questions so we can better suit your desires. Only you know what you want the end results to be, it is our job as the professionals to make them come to life. We will give you our ideas as to what we think will look good, but we ultimately want you to love it.
 
What We Are Not:
 
We are not a marketing firm, but are capable to handle many marketing tasks. If you want us to think up of ideas and themes for you we don’t mind, but that price is not included in to our project prices.  Our prices cover the time it takes to think about, create, recreate, and finalize the thoughts you present to us. If you need help coming up with themes or event ideas, we charge $25/hour (Graphic Design rate).
 
 
Terms and Conditions:
 
1. Please be specific about what you want in your design.
Design is a very subjective thing. Giving directions like “I’ll know it when I see it,” or “Make it look Cool,” is a recipe for frustraton, if not disaster. We often ask for examples of designs you like. This is for both of you and our benefits and will help us to better match a design with your style by knowing what you are drawn.to. We also ask what images come to your mind when you think about your theme or design. This helps us know what you think is important to portray in the design. Most people don’t realize the amount of hours that go into a design.
 
2. What Goes into a Design:
Designs take time to complete. Many people don’t realize the hours it takes for each concept to be created. Most of the designs you see in our portfolio are a combination of pictures put together in Photoshop to create just the right look and feel. Before those concepts were created we had to plan and sketch out several design concepts to get just what would work. This is why we ask you to be detailed in your thoughts so we can remain keeping our prices low while still offering high quality design that is unique to you.
 
 
3. Know who your audience is.
When thinking through a design, we try to think through who will be looking at the design( i.e.  – a visitor, a teenager, an elderly person, etc.) Though a design may not be your personal taste, it may be what relates to a certain age group. For Example: Outreach materials my not always need to have a typical church feel.  Just as an example, a visitor may not always be able to relate to words like “salvation,” “repentance,” “spirit – filled.”
 
 
4. Finalize Copy/Idea before the design begins.
We have worked really hard to offer quality design for churches and their ministries at great prices. We ask that you solidify your thoughts for a theme or event before we begin designing. If we have created a look for an idea, and then you come back and change the whole thought, we will have to charge per hour for the time that it takes to recreate that look. We charge $25 per hour.
 
It is also your responsibility to proof the final version of your product before it is sent to print. We will not take responsibility for any copy errors committed on your part. We are also not responsible for any wrong dates or misspelled words in files submitted by customer or jobs approved by customer upon design completion. Under no circumstances will a refund or reprint be honored for an error in the file submitted or the design that was approved. We will give you plenty of opportunities to look over the file before it goes to print or is turned over to you.
 
5. Payment/Invoice:
Our payment policy is on a trust basis. We have set into place that you do not have to pay until the final design is approved. So you can see our design quality and style, we have setup our portfolio for you to see what work we are capable of doing. If you contact us for a project—and give us the green light to begin a project—we trust that you will pay for the work that is done.
 
If for some reason you cancel the project after time was put into it, you will be charged for the hours spent on the project. The hourly rates are as follows:
Graphic Design - $25/hour.
Website Design - $35/hour.

We do accept checks. If you are paying by check, please let us know up front. We cannot turn over files or send items to print until the check has been cleared.

You will receive an invoice as soon as you give us the green light to begin a project. This invoice does not have to be paid until you approve the final design. It does need to be paid before your receive your finished product or designs are sent to print. You have 30 days to pay your invoice. After that there will be a late fee of $15 added.

6. Ownership:
The completed project files will be released to you to use and to have for future use. Also, NoNonsense Design will retain ownership of the ideas expressed in your project for use in future work. Additionally, we retain the right to include the finished project in any promotional materials.

If you would like to purchase the exclusive ownership of your project (to ensure its uniqueness to only your project) there will be an additional charge. 

Our goal is to keep prices low across the board for all ministries. To do this, we keep the right to reuse a design down the road if requested. This service is open to all our clients to take advantage of.

7. Hours of Operation and Response Times:
NND offices hours are Monday - Friday: 9 am - 5 pm ET.

If you contact NND, we will contact you within a 24 hour business day. We do not guarantee any response on Saturday or Sunday. If you need a file for Sunday, we ask you to contact us before Saturday.


8. Printing:
We work with a printer but do not do the printing ourselves. NoNonsense Design does not take responsibility for any fault that may come with dealing with a printer. We offer this service to help you not to have to worry about finding a printer.

We also ask that you look over your printed items within 3 days of receiving the items. If there was a printing mistake, we can not be held responsible for rush charges to receive the reprinted items.
